Why Little Puggles

Our topsheet has added silk protein for a soft, smooth feel against baby’s skin.

Independently tested.

A Bendigo family business.

Fifteen years in medical and continence-care supply behind every carton.

Tape nappies or pants?

Not sure if pants are the right fit?

Most parents move from tape nappies to pants somewhere between six and twelve months, around the time baby starts to crawl and stand. Pants pull up like undies, which makes standing changes easier for active bubs and early toilet trainers. Tape nappies are usually the better fit for newborns through early crawlers.

What’s different about Little Puggles nappy pants.

Every pant in the range shares the same construction. Only the size changes.

Anti-leak back pocket.

A built-in pocket at the back catches the surprises that tend to escape a flat-backed pant. Not every pants brand has this, and it’s one of the reasons we built ours the way we did.

Silk-protein softness.

Our topsheet has added silk protein (SeriPro™) for a soft, smooth feel against baby’s skin. Silk protein doesn’t replace the topsheet; it’s added to it, so the surface your bub feels is a silk-protein finish rather than a plain non-woven one.

360° stretch sides.

The side panels stretch in every direction, so the pant moves with your bub whether they’re sitting, climbing, running, or rolling. No pinching, no sagging.

MotionFlex™ ultra-thin core.

The absorbent core is built with high-absorbency technology, which means less bulk between your bub’s legs and more flex where they need to move.

Ultra soft waistband.

A wide, soft waistband holds the pant in place without digging in. Same fabric as the outer pant, just contoured.

Tear-away sides.

Both side seams can be torn open cleanly, so if your bub has a soiled pant you can remove it without pulling it over their legs. Tear-away sides also make soiled changes and early toilet training easier.

Rapid absorb core.

A soft, fast-wicking layer pulls wetness away from baby’s skin and into the absorbent core in seconds.

Wetness indicator.

The yellow line along the front of the pant turns blue when it’s time for a change.

Gentle leg cuffs.

Shaped to hold without digging in.

Breathable outer layer.

The outer fabric lets air circulate across the nappy.

Certifications you can check for yourself.

We don't print badges we can't back up. Our certifications page sets out what each one covers, and what it does not.

Dermatest® Sensitive Skin.

Independent dermatological testing conducted on real human skin, not a formulation review on paper. The panel is made up of people with sensitive skin, tested under patch conditions and then in normal use for a week. No intolerance or allergic reactions were detected, which is what earns the Sensitive Skin Seal and the Skin-friendly Material Seal.

No PFAS detected (SGS).

Tested by SGS, one of the world’s largest independent testing laboratories, for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances down to the analytical limit of detection.

No chlorine bleach (SGS verified).

No chlorine bleach is used to whiten the pulp. Our nappy pants are not bleached with elemental chlorine. Verified by SGS.

Recognised by EAA for suitability on eczema-prone skin.

Little Puggles is in partnership with the Eczema Association of Australasia.

Australian Owned.

Little Puggles is owned and run by Australian First Aid Distributions Pty Ltd, a family business in East Bendigo, Victoria, with more than fifteen years in medical and continence-care supply.

How Little Puggles nappy pants are made.

Made in China, designed in Bendigo. We put that first because we would rather you knew than assumed. When we started we looked for an Australian manufacturer and there is not one, so we partnered with a world class manufacturing partner instead, and we visit them in person. The factory holds ISO 9001, with a certification scope that explicitly covers baby nappies, along with ISO 13485, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, and it is assessed as conforming to US FDA good manufacturing practice for medical devices, 21 CFR 820. You can watch the line for yourself on our certifications page.

Non-woven fabric topsheet with added silk protein (SeriPro™). Absorbent core with Japanese superabsorbent polymer. Breathable PE outer layer with 360° stretch side panels. Elastic leg cuffs and wide soft waistband. Tear-away side seams.

Mineral-oil-free, low-VOC, RoHS-compliant (all SGS tested).

Soy-free, latex-free, fragrance-free, lotion-free.

The illustrations on our packs are the work of Kate Smith, our dear friend and a local Bendigo artist. Each design is painted by hand. Each nappy pant size is paired with a different pair of Australian natives: one animal and one plant. You’ll find an emu and wax flower on Size 3, and different pairings the whole way up to Size 6. A small thing, but we wanted every carton to feel like a small piece of Australia.

Meet Kate and see every pairing, or follow her work on Instagram: @katesmithart2025.

Choosing your size.

Use your bub’s current weight, not their age, to choose. The weight ranges below overlap between sizes (babies vary), and it’s always safer to move up when your current pants start to feel snug or leak more often.

Opened packs are covered, there is no pack minimum, and we pay the return postage.

Frequently asked.

When should I switch from tape nappies to pants?

Most parents switch somewhere between six and twelve months, around the time baby starts to crawl and stand. Signs it’s time: change time has become a wrestling match, your bub rolls or tries to stand during changes, or they’re ready for early toilet training. There’s no rule that says you have to switch, and plenty of parents use tape nappies right through to toilet training. Pants just tend to make life easier once your bub is on the move.

What if baby outgrows this size before my next carton arrives?

This is the main worry parents have with a subscription, and we’ve built the 60-day satisfaction guarantee around it. Email us within 60 days of purchase and we’ll swap the unused packs for a different size at no extra cost, exchange the whole carton, or refund you, whichever suits, and switch your next scheduled delivery to the new size. Opened packs are covered, there is no pack minimum, and we pay the return postage. Works on every size from Size 3 through Size 6, and there is no limit on how many times you can claim.

Can I subscribe for twins?

Yes. Set up two subscriptions on your account, one per baby. Each one carries the standard 10% subscription saving. The 60-day satisfaction guarantee applies to both subscriptions independently, so if your twins size up at different rates you can manage each one separately.

Can you still do a lying-down change with pants?

Yes. Pants pull on and off either way. For a wet-only change, pulling up while standing is quickest. For a soiled change, lie your bub down, tear the side seams open (both sides), remove the pant cleanly without pulling it over their legs, and put a fresh one on. The tear-away sides are the key to not making a mess.

How should a pant fit?

The waistband should sit at the navel or just above, with enough room to slide two fingers underneath. Leg cuffs should sit just under the crease where leg meets hip, not digging in. If you’re seeing red marks at the waist or legs, size up. If you’re seeing leaks along the legs, either the size is too big (gaps) or too small (saturated too quickly).

How are nappy pants different from tape nappies?

Pants are pull-up like undies, so they’re faster to put on a standing or wriggly bub. They don’t have refastenable tabs, but they do have tear-away sides for soiled changes. Pants also have 360° stretch sides, a wide soft waistband and an anti-leak back pocket, where tape nappies have refastenable tabs and a narrower waistband. Both share our silk-protein topsheet, MotionFlex™ core, and wetness indicator.

What’s the difference between nappy pants and training pants?

Training pants usually refers to a product designed specifically for toilet training, often reusable. Little Puggles Nappy Pants are a full-absorbency disposable nappy in pull-up form, not a dedicated training pant. That said, parents often use nappy pants during toilet training because the pull-up design and tear-away sides make them convenient for the transition.

Can I use pants overnight?

Yes. Our pants have the same rapid absorb core as our tape nappies, so overnight absorbency is comparable. Some parents prefer tape nappies for overnight because the refastenable tabs make a middle-of-the-night check easier without a full pant-off. Either works.

What is the silk protein in the topsheet?

Silk protein (hydrolysed sericin, branded SeriPro™) is added to the non-woven topsheet fabric to give it a soft, smooth feel against baby’s skin. It’s used as a textile finish, not as a therapeutic ingredient. The topsheet itself is non-woven fabric; the silk protein is added to it.

What certifications do Little Puggles nappy pants hold?

At the product level: the Dermatest® Sensitive Skin Seal and Skin-friendly Material Seal (dermatological testing on real skin), no PFAS detected (SGS tested), and no chlorine bleach (SGS verified). At the partnership level: Recognised by EAA for suitability on eczema-prone skin. At the facility level: manufactured in a factory certified to ISO 9001 (scope includes baby nappies), ISO 13485, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. What each certification covers, and what it does not, is set out on our certifications page.
