Dermatest® Sensitive Skin is a dermatological tolerability test. A panel of human volunteers wears the product against the skin under patch-test conditions, supervised by qualified dermatologists, and the panel is observed for skin reactions. The assessor is Dermatest GmbH, a German dermatological testing institute. The panel is made up of people with sensitive skin, and the testing follows the Colipa, DDG and DGAKI recommendations and ISO 10993-23:2021.
The protocols on file are ST-SENS-2026-00042 for Little Puggles Nappies, ST-SENS-2026-00043 for Little Puggles Nappy Pants, and ST-SENS-2026-00071 with ST-ET-2026-00100 for Little Puggles Baby Wipes. The wipes study, signed 23 July 2026, tested 30 adults with sensitive skin under ISO 10993-23:2021 and added a one-week in-use test on ten children aged one to three. Every reading was graded zero, and all three product lines carry the Skin-friendly Material Seal alongside the Sensitive Skin Seal. A change to the product composition requires retesting.
A note on the badge. The official Dermatest® artwork reads "Sensitive skin" with "Excellent" inside the roundel. "Excellent" is the tolerability result, not a product name: the certificates record that the product was tolerated excellently. The seals we hold, and the names we use in copy, are the Sensitive Skin Seal and the Skin-friendly Material Seal.
What this verifies: skin tolerability in patch-test conditions, with no reactions observed in the test panel. What it does not verify: it is not a regulatory approval, it is not a guarantee for every individual baby, and it is not a claim about any skin condition. If your bub has a known sensitivity, a patch test on a small area at home is always the right first step.
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS, are a category of synthetic chemicals used in some textile and consumer-product manufacturing for water and stain resistance. They have come under increasing regulatory scrutiny in Australia and overseas, and independent verification is one of the most asked-for assurances among parents who research before they buy.
The testing is conducted by SGS, a global third-party testing, inspection and certification body. Little Puggles Nappies, Nappy Pants and Baby Wipes have all been tested with no detectable PFAS at the analytical limit of detection used by the SGS protocol. The wipes were tested against 671 PFAS substances under modified EN 17681-1:2025, report CANCPCH26011235901, 12 May 2026, with every substance returning not detected. Lab reports are held on file and available to procurement teams on request.
What this verifies: no detectable PFAS at the SGS limit of detection, on the products tested. What it does not verify: this is a PFAS-specific result only. It is not a claim of "no chemicals" or "no synthetics", which would not be credible for any nappy and which the ACCC has flagged as potentially misleading.
Elemental chlorine bleaching has long been used to whiten the paper pulp and fluff pulp that go into nappies. Little Puggles products are not bleached with elemental chlorine. Alternative bleaching processes are used instead, and SGS has verified this.
The nappies and pants go further than the process. SGS tested them for chlorine and found none, and that is what the chlorine badge printed on the front of our nappies refers to. The test used a detection limit rather than a pass or fail threshold, so we say what it found rather than calling the product certified.
The wipes are a different answer and we will not merge the two. A wipe is a wet product, and chloride salts occur naturally in water, in fibre and in lotion, so trace chlorine turns up in testing at background levels. On the wipes our claim is about the process only: no chlorine bleach is used, verified by SGS. We do not say the finished wipe contains no chlorine, because that would not be accurate.
What this verifies: elemental chlorine bleach is not used in the process, verified by SGS on the samples tested. What it does not verify: it says nothing about other bleaching agents, and on the wipes it is not a claim that the finished product is free of chlorine.
Little Puggles nappies, nappy pants and wipes are designed in Bendigo and made in China. We looked for an Australian manufacturer when we started and there is not one, so we partnered with a world class manufacturing partner instead, and we visit them in person. Our packaging says "Manufactured in China for Little Puggles" alongside the Australian business identifier of our parent company. The facility that makes our nappies and pants holds four international certifications.
ISO 9001:2015 covers the facility's quality management system, and its scope explicitly covers baby diaper production. Cert number 00126Q300402R301, valid to 15 January 2029.
Our nappies are made in a factory with ISO 13485 certification. They are not themselves certified products, and the certificate scope is the facility's own adult-continence work rather than baby products. Cert number 117 23 Q0M 0216 R0S, valid to 3 December 2026, renewal in progress.
ISO 14001:2015 covers the facility's environmental management system, cert number 00124E30804R1M/3500. ISO 45001:2018 covers occupational health and safety, cert number 00124S30643R1M/3500. Both valid to 23 February 2027.
Separately, our parent company Australian First Aid Distributions holds its own ISO 13485 certificate, number UZN0RTCU20250904AUSMD16V, issued by TNV Certification Ltd and valid to 3 September 2028. Its scope is "Assembly, labelling, storage, and distribution of Class I and Class IIa first aid kits in Australia". That certificate does not cover Little Puggles nappies or wipes. We list it because it is part of our parent company's quality systems, not because it transfers to our products.
Little Puggles is a premium Australian-owned brand. The parent company is Australian First Aid Distributions Pty Ltd, registered in Australia, based in Bendigo, Victoria, with a retail store on Murphy Street and online sales Australia-wide.
ABN 54 153 377 185. Verifiable through the Australian Business Register's public ABN lookup at abr.business.gov.au and through the ASIC public registers.
Australian ownership is a matter of public-record company registration rather than a marketing certification, so the public record is the verification. Anyone can run the lookup and confirm it directly.
A note on the logo. The third-party Australian Owned certifying body whose logo we previously carried is no longer operating. We have created our own Australian Owned logo, used across all of our brands, to flag the claim visually. The substance sits with the public registers above; the logo is the visual signal.
What this is and is not. "Australian Owned" and "Made in Australia" are two different claims, and we do not blur them. Our products are designed in Bendigo and manufactured offshore. One claim is about where the business is owned, the other about where the product is made.
SeriPro™ is our brand name for the silk-protein topsheet on Little Puggles nappies and nappy pants, and it is there for one reason: a soft, smooth feel against the skin. The silk protein is hydrolysed sericin, a natural protein derived from silk. The trademark application was lodged with IP Australia on 9 February 2026.
What we claim about SeriPro™: it is a silk-protein topsheet for a soft, smooth feel. What we do not claim: SeriPro™ is not therapeutic, not antimicrobial, not anti-inflammatory and not a skin-barrier product. We hold to that across every piece of Little Puggles copy, whatever similar ingredients are marketed as elsewhere.
MotionFlex™ is our brand name for the ultra-thin construction used across the nappies and pants, covering the absorbent core, the topsheet system and the elasticised side panels working together. Trademark application also lodged 9 February 2026.
The Eczema Association of Australasia, or EAA, is the peak Australian and New Zealand body for eczema awareness, education and support. Little Puggles is in partnership with the Eczema Association of Australasia for the period 15 May 2026 to 15 May 2027, renewable annually subject to the partnership criteria.
Little Puggles is recognised by EAA for suitability on eczema-prone skin. Our products were assessed for that suitability under the EAA partnership process.
What this is not. The partnership is not an independent clinical or medical endorsement. EAA does not run independent product testing, and recognition under the partnership is not medical approval or a dermatology approval of any kind. If your bub has eczema or eczema-prone skin, your GP, paediatric dermatologist or maternal child health nurse is the right person to ask, and EAA's own resources at eczema.org.au are a good starting point.

A note on how we word things.
Our nappies and pants are not medical devices. They are not on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods, and we have not sought to have them assessed as such. The ISO 13485 certificate belongs to the facility, not to our products.
Where a claim has a test behind it, we name the test. Skin tolerability confirmed under Dermatest® supervision. No PFAS detected per SGS testing. No chlorine bleach verified by SGS. Toxic-Free and Allergy Certified on our wipes formulation, both certified by Safe Cosmetics Australia. We prefer that to broad phrases like "chemical-free" or "100% natural", which have no agreed meaning and tell you less than a test result does.
